God-centred lifestyle
We want to be worshippers that will worship Him with intense passion, complete surrender, and radical obedience. God is looking for extravagant worship where we give Him all that we are, all that we have, and all that we do. Worship must become us and we must become worship. We want to be a living example of praise and worship.

Sunday celebrations in Royston that envision, empower and unite the church
The purpose of Sunday morning meetings is to celebrate together as the family of God. It is a place where non-Christians can come and experience authentic Christianity, as well as a place of envisioning and connecting the church. Our times of praise and worship, teaching, prayer and exhortation are Bible-based and Holy Spirit led for the purpose of encouraging, motivating, strengthening and equipping the church to live out the Christian faith.

Encounter groups multiplying across the area
Encounter Groups are the building blocks of the church, where relationships form and grow. They are an environment where each member can mature, develop the gifts God has given, feel accepted and grow in grace and love. We want to establish groups that reach out to friends and neighbours, sharing the Gospel with them in words and actions. Healthy small groups are continually growing, in depth and maturity, and in size by drawing in new people which leads naturally to multiplication.
-
Equipping and releasing every member into ministry
God has a role for every member of TLC and only as each person is equipped and released to fulfil that role, will the church function to its full God-given capacity. We aim to help every member to understand what God sees in them, to encourage them to take on the roles God asks of them, and to equip and release each one to be effective in the calling God has for them.
We want to be a church where members of every age (children, young people and adults) are actively participating in what God has for them Monday through Sunday, and where they feel they have the freedom and support to do so.
-
Connecting generations
As the family of God, we are committed to actively engaging and connecting the generations. Establishing friendships across age groups helps to develop a culture that naturally passes on experience, wisdom and faith from one generation to the next. We aim to envision and inspire the next generation to continue the furthering of God’s Kingdom.
We aim to integrate the age groups as much as possible in the life of the church, whilst recognising the need for peer relationships and environments in which everyone – adults, youth and children – can best develop and grow.
-
Influencial in the community
We want to be influential in community initiatives, to help shape the environment and the atmosphere surrounding Royston. We want to be well known in the area and favoured in the Town Council and other local government bodies so that we can bring prophetic insights and the wisdom of God to help steer local decision-making.
-
Permanent community projects
To make an impact we must understand how to connect with the community. We want to initiate and run projects that meet the real needs and requirements of the society in which we live and that have a lasting effect on the community of Royston. We want to establish and sustain permanent resources for the community that they can rely on.
-
Sending out people
We have a part to play in fulfilling the Great Commission. As individuals we are responsible for listening to God and acting in obedience with His commands, taking His Word and His love to wherever He asks us to go. We as the church are responsible for equipping the saints, sending them out into the community and beyond to further the Kingdom of God.
We want to be active in raising people up and sending them out on short-term and long-term missions both in this country and overseas.

Relational support for missionaries
We can be most effective in taking the good news of Jesus to the world through partnership with others. We will actively support individuals, churches and mission agencies working in our nation and other nations, where God gives us relational connections. Support can include finances, pastoring, accountability, training and equipping. Priority will always be given to those with whom we have a meaningful personal friendship.
