Our faith

Trinity Life Church accept the holy scriptures as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice, and adopt the following statement of fundamental truths:

• WE BELIEVE the whole of the Bible to be the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.

• WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

• WE BELIEVE in the true humanity and deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, death by crucifixion, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of His personal visible future return to this earth to receive to Himself the Church, that it may be with Him forever.

• WE BELIEVE that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.

• WE BELIEVE that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

• WE BELIEVE that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.

• WE BELIEVE that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, are available to believers who ask for them.

• WE BELIEVE in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.

• WE BELIEVE in the unity of the body of Christ, the Church being the sum of those who have been born again by the Holy Spirit and in the offices and ministries as set by God in the Church and revealed in the New Testament.

• WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

• WE OBSERVE the ordinance of baptism by immersion in water for all those who have repented of their sins and who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their souls, and who give clear evidence of their salvation.

• WE OBSERVE the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper as taught by the Lord Jesus Christ.
